About Mark Buchanan

Originally qualified in electrical and electronic engineering, Mark was heavily involved in the personal computer revolution of the early 1980s. Progressing through sales, marketing and management he moved into the charitable sector in the early 1990s.

He took over as chief executive of the UK branch of a global charity, which included oversight of the Middle East region.

Over the next 12 years he quadrupled the turnover of the UK organisation. He served as one of the 5-strong international board, with particular responsibility for publishing and technology issues, including the Y2K crisis.

Mark is an experienced facilitator, who has presented to audiences all over the world and is skilled in cross-cultural communication. His engaging and motivating facilitation style is designed to help delegates discover for themselves the powerful principles that guide effectiveness and performance.

In addition to his training and consultancy work, Mark has written, presented and produced a 13-part, live and interactive television series for a global cable channel.

He is a senior international associate facilitator for Franklin Covey - one of the world's largest training companies, specialising in their “Leadership” and “Execution” offerings. He is also a specialist in the production and use of video and multimedia technologies as training and educational tools.
